What is carpet steam cleaning?
Steam cleaning is the method recommended by industry leaders (Shaw Industries, and the CRC). High-pressure steam is sprayed on the carpet fibers and then sucked up by a special water vacuum. This assures a deep and effective clean. Although you can rent steam cleaning machines, and try and do the job yourself, this is not recommended. A professional cleaning company won’t just have more powerful and effective steam cleaner machinery, but they’ll know exactly how to use it.
Do you move furniture?
Yes. We do and at no extra charge. For liability reasons, we will not generally move antique furniture, entertainment systems, pianos, or other valuable belongings. However, your on-site technician is entitled to make his own decision.
Can you remove pet odors?
Yes. In cases where contamination is limited to the carpet surface, a thorough cleaning may be enough to remove the odor. In more severe cases, a urine neutralizer will be applied. We also offer an advanced toxin-free odor removal treatment. In the most severe cases, replacement of the carpet padding, treatment of the under-side of the carpet, and the sub-floor may be required.
Is it best to put off carpet cleaning for as long as possible?
No. In fact, many of the major carpet manufacturers recommend your carpet be professionally cleaned at least once every 6-8 months. The build-up of dirt and soil in your carpet fibers, combined with foot traffic create abrasions that break down your carpet’s fibers. The higher the traffic in a given area, the more often the carpet will need cleaning.
My carpet is slightly discolored. Can you fix it?
Yes. Generally, with color loss, we can spot dye the color-faded patch. In more severe cases, we can repair the carpet by replacing the area of discolored carpet with a matching piece from our stock.
How can I keep my carpet clean, soft, and smelling great?
Regular care and maintenance is the best way to prolong the life of your carpets and rugs. Any new rug or carpet must be bought with a manufacturer’s maintenance guide for daily care. By following a well-planned care program, your carpet will maintain its soft feel and clean look for years to come.
Can you fix water damage?
Yes. We have the equipment and the know-how that lets us dry your carpet or rug in a short time, as well as disinfecting it and removing any odors. When a carpet or a rug gets wet, it is crucial to dry it as soon as possible. Failure to do so may cause it to disintegrate and the water may become contaminated and turn into a health risk. Don’t delay! Call us as soon as you discover flooding.
